I certainly do!! A year ago today we brought Lucy home!! She was totally nameless for a day or two!
For some odd reason we decided to get a third dog. We did much searching:
We met all these doggies at the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter in Chambersburg, PA:
I know...it was so overwhelming and so very sad...but I'm sure they all got good homes!
Then I found this little girl at The Humane Society of Washington County in Hagerstown, MD:
Molly . She just wasn't the right fit, but again, this is another Humane Society that is so sad and overwhelming (I guess they all are).
Then on their site one day, I came across this:
We didn't care for the name "Fawn" as it didn't seem to suit her. We tried a list: Addy, Maddy, Bella, Elsie, etc....but Lucy seemed to fit best! We did have some adjustment issues but nothing overly bad and a year later I am so very glad we took the time to search, made no rash decisions, admitted when it wasn't a fit, and waited to the perfect one was found - and that was our Lucy.
