Well alrighty....

SPOILERS - WALKING DEAD - SPOILERS

Don't read further if you're not caught up!!

First - Very powerful episode, got a few reunions but not everyone.  No sign of Tyreese, Carol, Judith or Beth this episode.

Second - No one died!!!  So all those rumors weren't true!!  Well, Joe & Co. did, but like I said before they were expendable and they deserved to die.

Terminus - well we now know for sure that the cannibals are there!!  And for those that don't believe that - did ya catch the area with all the leftover body parts in it while our people were being shot at?

Trapped in Terminus and Season 5 doesn't start until OCTOBER - sigh........

Let's talk The Walking Dead shall we?

If you don't watch it, you need too - best show on television.  However, you do need to watch it from the very beginning...if you try to join in now-well, not only will you be lost but you'll have no investment in the characters to care about anything.

For those that watch, you know that the Season Four Finale is on tonight!  And we'll have to wait until OCTOBER for it to come back.  There's lots of hype about this episode out there and they claim we will be soooooooooo........wishing the time away for October to get here!

I've read the comics and have watched the show from the beginning; sometimes they are a like, a lot of times not.  There's suppose to be a shocking death tonight....let's look at the characters (sorry if this is spoilers for anyone - remember, there could be SPOILERS...so don't read further if you're behind - and I have no clue of anything happening tonight, so no spoilers there).

Who will be the "shocking" death?

Rick - the whole story revolves around Rick - it's his story!  Would they kill him off??  A death of Rick would be a shocker!

Carl - Rick's son.  Though he was an annoying child the first 2 seasons, he's really turned around.  Carl's been through a lot since the first season.  His death would be a shocker!

Daryl - Daryl is every one's favorite redneck, plus the hearth rob of all the fan girls out there.  He's the show favorite, the most popular character.  A shocking death?  I feel that would be more surprising than shocking..but a sad loss none-the-less.

Carol - Her husband was deserving killed by walkers (yeah, you heard that-he deserved it); her daughter disappeared only to show up as a walker later.  Though she was very weak to start, she's come a long way and will do anything to protect the group.  She recently had to put down a young psychotic girl, someone she considered an adoptive daughter - not an easy thing.  Though Carol's death wouldn't surprise me or shock me; I could see her sacrificing herself to save others.

Glen - Gee, Glen just survived that flu that was killing everyone off - would they let him survive only to kill him off later?  I'm guessing no, but I believe it will be he or Maggie.

Maggie - Glen's wife whom he met during the apocalypse.  They just had an emotional reunion after not knowing if each other were alive.  Maggie burned the photo of herself telling Glen he wouldn't need it anymore.  Hmmmmmm.......  Maggie is my pick of who will die; however Glen not needing a photo anymore could mean he will have that death - either way, one of them are going.

Beth - Maggie's sister, whom some believe is already dead and laying on the grill at Terminus (don't ask). Beth was taken by someone in a car - I believe she is still alive (not being grilled) but where I have no idea.

Tyreese - His part was so much bigger in the comics and they haven't done much with him here.  He's expendable, though I don't want him to be the one to go.  Course he can't go anywhere until he reunited baby Judith with her father and brother (Rick & Carl who both think she's dead).

Sasha & Bob - I'm putting them together because they are characters we're just getting to know.  I doubt either will go this evening.

Abraham & Crew - New characters, no deaths there yet.

Joe & Crew - definitely not good guys, they're expendable.

Mary - need to know who is at Terminus with her to make that decision.

If we're looking for a SHOCKING death - I'd say Rick or Carl.  My guess is Maggie or Glen.

Busy day shopping today.....

I got some good deals at both JCPenney and Kohl's.  I'm at that point where I'm in a size that I don't really have a whole lot to wear...if I'd drop a size, I'd have a whole closet full of stuff to wear...unfortunately, things have been bad.

But at least I'm trying.....

Prayers to CC and family who had to make the very difficult decision to have their cat Devin put down.  It is the hardest part of pet ownership.  :(

I'm all about giving a product a thumbs up when needed and a thumbs down as a warning, lol!!

Anyway....I was at Big Lots last Saturday and came across Better Oats Oatmeal.  They had several flavors and the great thing?  They were only $1.00 a box - and you got 5 pouches!  That's a 20 cent breakfast!

I decided on the Blueberry and Strawberry:

Both of these flavors come in at 4 points plus a serving, which is comparable with the other brands out there.  The oatmeal smells amazing right from the pouch; and they are a great grab & go because they have this:

Yep, once you empty the oatmeal into a bowl, you can use the pouch to measure the water!!  A very nice idea!

And the taste?  It's probably the best instant oatmeal I've had:

I've checked their website and they have other flavors as well (as did Big Lots):

Plain

Maple & Brown Sugar

Apples & Cinnamon

Cinnamon & Spice

Peaches & Cream

To name just a few, check out their website!!

Well okay, I'm a little behind with the 50 posts, some are getting up late...but I never said I'd write 50 days in a row, just that there would be 50 posts in a a row....okay, okay,.....

I notice there are a lot of "spiritual" type movies out - Son of God, Noah and God's Not Dead.  The last two I really want to see!  The last is the type I prefer...more of a faith based story rather than the re-telling of a Bible story.  Not that Bible stories are bad...but they do have to make up some things and / or their interpretation may be different than yours.  So that can be a pass or fail depending on the person!

Several posts back I mentioned that my sister-in-law was in the hospital due to a ruptured aorta in the abdominal cavity.  This is a very serious condition that has a high morality rate.

She's still in the hospital, out of ICU, but still there.  She's doing better, but has a long recovery ahead.  Please continue to send prayers.

There's a very very good chance she may have to live with us during her rehab period.

So Saturday has been a really lazy day.  I ran Toby over to the vet's for his shot - which took a whole 2 seconds; did some shopping and then crashed on the couch for Season 3 of Game of Thrones.  I've already seen all the seasons and the next is due to start in April, but since it takes a year for new seasons to come out, I needed a refresher.

Not a lot happening or going on.  Toby goes to the vets in the morning for his first influenza shot, then back for the booster in 2 weeks.  Each of the dogs has to have this in order to be boarded when we go on vacation.  This was new for this year.

So I was up .6 last night....that's POINT 6 which isn't all that bad.  I'm sure it's due to the Burger King cheeseburger I had at lunch.  Not a wise choice; but hey, it happens.

Other than that things have been going by well.

I see lots and lots of questions on the Weight Watchers FaceBook page regarding the "diet" options.  So let's answer that question.

Weight Watchers offers two plans to choose from:  Points Plus and Simply Filling.

Points Plus is the one most are familiar with - you are given a daily point target.  Each food has a point value depending on its calculation of fat, carbs, fiber & protein.  You eat what foods you want up to your daily point target.  You are given a weekly point amount to use (or not) also.

Simply Filling involves no daily target.  You eat off a list of food until you are "satisfied not stuffed".  The food list are "power foods" meaning they are foods that will keep you fuller for a longer period (veggies, fruits, fat free dairy, light whole grain breads, whole grain pastas and lean meats).  You do get the weekly point amount to use for anything off the list.

So in answer to the questions on FaceBook?  No, there is not a plan specifically for diabetics, gluten free, etc..  However, if you're doctor has given you a food plan - you can adapt the Points Plus plan for your needs as you can eat ANY food on it.

There are guidelines associated with the plans.  Healthy Guidelines include:  3-5 servings of fruit/veggies a day; 2 healthy oils a day; 2 dairies a day; a multi-vitamin daily and 6-8 oz. servings of liquid (preferably water) a day.  Build your menus around these guidelines and you should be good to go.

Again, if you have dietary needs - ask your doctor!

I had a 1.2 loss this week AND I'm now, once again, back in the 160's!!

So hopefully this will be an ongoing trend, I so want to be in the 150's again.

Ahhhhhh.......the movie "Non-Stop".

It actually is a fun, entertaining movie; but that's about it.  The end result of the reason why what is happening is happening is rather lackluster and overly far fetched.

But more than anything why is it that when the main character suspects someone, he beats the person to a pulp while screaming questions at them and never given them any air to answer?  I couldn't understand that part.  I can understand the stress and seriousness of the situation; but he was supposedly a professional and you would think there should of been some type of protocol.

I don't remember the last sentence of the whole move exactly, but it was something to the effect of "Where to go from here?"  CC's response?  "It won't be the Oscars."

She is so right.

Even though I kind of gave a "theme" for my 50 posts in a row; that doesn't always mean I'll stick to them.  It just is something there to give me an idea if needed.

I know a lot of people are complaining about "The Walking Dead" episode from this past Sunday.  I'm not going to do that.  Though I do wish they'd move on with the story line, I do enjoy the episodes that deal with character development.  You learn about their past prior to the zombies, we learn what they hoped or dreamed for and we learned how the apocalypse had changed them - not just from before the apocalypse; but also through the trial and tribulations they have been going through.  We learned a lot about Beth & Daryl and I really enjoyed the episode.   Yes, we still need to see where Maggie, Sasha and Bob are..but hopefully this coming episode will move the story line a little and bring some people back together; after all there are only 4 episodes left!!

Off to see a movie with CC tonight!

My Sookie kitty was spayed this week and got her rabie shot; hopefully next week we can complete the adoption and she will be officially ours - but then, wasn't she always???

When I picked up the voucher from the Humane Society I was rather disappointed that I couldn't take her to just any vet.  There were 5 listed on the voucher and my vet wasn't one of them; which seemed rather odd since they do do spays/neuters for them.  None-the-less I chose the one listed at the top and made the appointment.

As I've mentioned before Sookie is mostly feral; she's coming around but she doesn't want touched or picked up.  I was worried about getting her in a crate, but then I just used the little laser dot and she went right in.

We arrive at the vet's where you would think (since I did tell them I was bringing in a Humane Society foster) that I could of handed them the cat and the voucher and go on my way.  Nope, I had to fill out a form as if I were a new client and then wait in one of the rooms for a vet tech to arrive, who did nothing more than try to sell me more services - all of which I declined.

After work, I was able to pick her up.  When I get there I had to wait because apparently only one particular person can do pick-ups.  I then get the run down on meds (antibiotic/painkillers), the paperwork for the rabie vaccination and of course Sookie.  I was so glad to get out of there - it made me appreciate my vet so much more.

We get home and despite surgery, Sookie is pretty much herself except I notice that her front leg that the IV had been in she keeps shaking.  After about an hour I realize that the wrap they put on her leg after removing the IV is still on!!  Oh great, now I need to catch feral cat and remove it....it actually ended up being easier then I expected but I never should of had to do it.

Anyway, Sookie is doing great and who would ever think this little thing:

Would be growing so fast:
